How to Wear a Tie Headband Video Tutorial

The Swiss Army Knife HU Headband

Our incredibly popular HU Headband is not just another good looking head accessory. Think of it, rather, as a Swiss Army Knife for the head.

OK, perhaps that's a liberal use of hyperbole; but much like it's cousin, the ENSO Headband (watch the tutorial here), the HU headband really is startlingly versatile.

But before getting to said versatility, let's answer a most common question: who's HU?

The answer to that depends on who you ask.

To Sufi's, HU is Godliness.

To Yogi's, HU is the sound of creation.

To Seussian's (you know who you are), HU is the sound Horton hears.

In other words, what attracted us to the word HU - like the headband it was to represent - was it's versatility. It really can be anything to anybody and to us, that's what fashion is all about. After all, "there is no one alive who is Youer than You".

We designed the HU Headband to be as many headbands as we could conceive.

The Tennis Headband

In it's resting state, the headband is a classic 2" wide headband. Think of your favorite tennis player's headband style and it's likely being worn in a similar style. This style is particularly popular among runners, Crossfitters and, naturally, tennis players.

The Bandana Headband

From there, open the headband wide to it's full 8" and you've found yourself a high functioning bandana headband. This style is particularly popular among hikers, bikers and beach-goers (perfect sun protection). For any Kundalini Yogi's out there, this head covering headband style is for you!

The Harry Styles Headband

Now that your headband is open try scrunching it up across the brow, pug-style. OK, so that's perhaps not the most fashion friendly descriptive (unless you're a Pug owner), but you get the visual. This is my personal go-to way of wearing the HU headband when sporting it to yoga or simply using it as a casual way to keep my hair back when out on the town. This is also the way famed headband wearer, Harry Styles of One Direction, rocks his headbands.

The Bow Headband

For the ladies (and gentlemen too, if so inclined), flip the headband around and tie a bow on the crown of the head. You've now got yourself a super cute, super trendy bow headband

To see all these styles and more (minus the bow style which we somehow forgot to include - sorry!) check out our fun video tutorial below. We know for a fact that there are many more ways to wear the HU Headband (bandeau, anyone?) but this should help get you started.
